US Women’s National Team loses on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals

The US women's soccer team is out of the tournament at the 2016 Rio Olympics after losing to Sweden in the penalty-kick shootout in the quarterfinals. USWNT goalkeeper Hope Solo called out Sweden team, even saying they are coward.

The 2016 Summer Olympics came to an end on Sunday August 21. After the final day eet, the Closing Ceremony was held from 20:00 to 22:50 BRT at the Maracanã Stadium, Rio de Janeiro. Eduardo Paes, Rio yuriko Koikede Janeiro mayor, offiialy hand over Olympic flag to Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike.

adidas Group delivers outstanding financial performance in Q2 2016

In the first half of 2016, adidas Group revenues increased 21% on a currency-neutral basis, due to strong double-digit growth at adidas and mid-single-digit sales increases at Reebok. In euro terms, sales increased 15% to € 9.191 billion. All market segments posted currency-neutral sales increases, with double-digit growth across all regions except Russia/CIS, where revenues grew at a mid-single-digit rate. Consequently, net income from continuing operations, excluding goodwill impairment losses in the prior year, increased 60% to € 641 million.

2016 Summer Olympics opening ceremony kick off the official start on August 5, 2016. This was the first time since 1900 that the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics was held in a venue other than the athletics stadium. Gisele Bundchen performed runway walking with 'Girl from Ipanema' in the stadium, the song has seen its popularity rise again on Spotify.

Rio 2016がとうとう開幕した。経費節減のためOpening Ceremony会場はメインスタジアム新設を断念し、サッカースタジアムで代用した。セレモニー費用もロンドン大会の10%以内に抑えられた。２兆円だ、３兆円だと言っている日本の組織委員はブラジルを見習うべきである。
