Chinese tennis great Li Na announced her retirement due to recurring knee injuries, on Friday with an eloquent retirement letter posted on Facebook. She was born 26 February 1982, turned professional in 1999. In her career, Li has won nine WTA singles titles, including two Grand Slam titls at the 2011 French Open and 2014 Australian Open.
