The Timberland 1978 hiking boot is back in its original form for the first time ever. The Boot was the brand’s original waterproof hiking shoe, but it’s been discontinued for decades. Originally built for mountaineers and hikers, the rugged men’s boots are a forgotten part of the outdoor brand’s heritage ― but they’re back now, for a limited time only.
Timberlandは80年代末にBel Biv Devoeがポピュラライズしてから、アフリカンアメリカンの間で爆発的なブームになった。それ以降はイエローブーツがアーバンフットウエアの代名詞になったが、実は80年代から90年代にかけてアウトドアアッスレチックフィールドでも玄人好みのモデルを発表して健闘していた。その初期モデルの一つ、1978 hiking bootがアップグレードして再登場した。
