Nike report FY2018 Q3 Result

NIKE, Inc. reported financial results for its fiscal 2018 third quarter ended February 28, 2018 on March 22. Revenue growth was led by international geographies and NIKE Direct globally. “NIKE’s Consumer Direct Offense drove strong double-digit growth across our international geographies, led by Greater China,” said Mark Parker, Chairman, President and CEO, NIKE, Inc. “As we close Q3, we now see a significant reversal of trend in North America, as momentum accelerates through the scaling of new innovation platforms and differentiated NIKE Consumer Experiences expand across the marketplace.

Nikeが3月22日発表した9ヶ月業績（2017.６～2018.2）は売り上げ4％増、75％減益となった。2016年は全地域２桁増収、2017年は各地域とも増収率はほぼ半減したが、増収増益は維持していた。それがたった１年間で業績低迷、それも本拠地の北米でQ1～Q3の３四半期にわたって連続減収に見舞われた。それに追い打ちをかけて、Q3には純利益75％減という記録的な減益となった。2015年から水面下で進んでいたプロダクトR&D硬直化、ジョグラフィカル対策の破綻が表面化したのである。adidasはますます追撃の速度を上げつつある。Nikeの2018年決算は予断を許さなくなってきた。
