Summer Solstice is used like midsummer to refer
to the day on which solstice occurs. The day has the longest period of daylight,
and has varied among cultures, but most recognize the event in some way with
holidays, festivals,
and rituals around that time with themes of religion or fertility.
6月21日は夏至日（Summer
Solstice）である。1日の日照時間が一番長いのは誰でも知っている。ヨーロッパや北米ではこの日から真夏が始まるから、週末のモールやダウンタウンでは小売りチェーンがいっせいにハイサマースタイルを打ち出す。
