On June 30, for the sixth time since taking office,
President Obama joined national, state, and san event celebrating Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month at the White House.
アメリカのLGBT運動にとって６月は特別な意味を持つ月である。1969年6月28日発生した「Stonewall
Riot」（グリニッジビレッジ）以降、６月はLGBTの抵抗と解放のシンボルマンスとなった。
