Labor Day has come to
be celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer. In U.S.
sports, Labor Day marks the beginning of the NFL and college football seasons.
And Labor Day also is the middle point between weeks 1 and 2 of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships held
in Flushing Meadows, New York.
