adidas NYC: Global Flagship store, New York

adidas opened adidas NYC on 5th Avenue and 46 stret, Thursday December 1. The store confirmed a new era in how consumers experience and sport in stores. Inspired by high school stadiums, adidas NYC provide life and sport through the new stadium retail concept. The store features a tunnel entrance, stands for live-game viewing on big screens, locker rooms instead of dressing rooms and track and field areas where consumers can test and experience products.

adidasが世界最大の直営ストアadidas NYCをマンハッタンに出店した。推定賃料は年間1億ドル前後とみられちるが、ストアコンセプトは1990年に登場したNiketownとほとんど同じである。adidasがNikeとのギャップを埋めるのは容易なことではない。
