It has been 70 years since April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson making history with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He broke Major League Baseball's color barrier. And ever since 2004, the baseball community has has gathered on that day each year to pay homage to Robinson's courage. On April 15 every year, the Los Angeles Dodgers' line-up on the scoreboard shows all players wearing Jackie Robinson's No. 42.
今年もJackie Robinson Dayがやってきた。毎年4月15日は1947年、Brooklyn Dodgers1塁手でデビューした初の黒人選手Jackie Robinsonの記念日である。この日はMLB30球団全選手、監督、コーチが背番号42のジャージーを着用する。DodgersはRobinsonがルーキー時代のブロンズ像をDodger Stadiumniに建立した。
