The morning after President Obama stood before a
national audience to announce a new campaign against Islamist terrorism in the
Middle East, at 8:46 a.m., the time the first plane struck the north tower
on Sept.11, 2001, there was a moment of silence. In Washington, Mr. Obama,
joined by his wife and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., stood on the White
House lawn, heads bowed.

11 Memorial Museum（Liverty Street, NYC）で追悼式典が開催された。 ウクライナからシリアまで、テロとの戦いは終息どころか拡大しつつある。オバマ政権は本気のテロ封殺姿勢をアピールせざるを得ない瀬戸際にたっている。
