Marin Cilic wins his first Grand Slam title.  The Croatian was simply too strong for Nishikori, with his booming serve and groundstrokes proving the difference. Nishikori was far from his best. He couldn't get any depth on his shots in the Cilic's power. He hit 30 unforced errors and just 19 winners.
