In 1992, Tinker Hatfield and a young Eric Avar created a new generation footwear to combine the Air Huarache and the Air Flight. The Air Flight Huarache delivered a superior fit by a neoprene innersleeve and leather exoskeleton that worked in tandem to offer players a responsive and comfortable fit, giving birth smashing performance footwear.
Nikeは Air Flight Huarache を3月13日発表した。1992〜93年に２年連続決勝進出したMichigan WolverinesのFab Five着用モデルのメイクオーバーである。発売日は未発表だが、この時期の発表は3月17日にRegeonalsがスタートするNCAA College Basketball Tournamentに向けたプロモーションなのは言うまでもない。
